Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing unsure of how they got there or why. They soon discover that they have been selected as the prey in a hunt for the most exotic game: humans. But the sport is derailed when one of the hunted fights back and begins killing off the hunters one by one.
Loosely based on the 1924 short story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, the film stars Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Betty Gilpin (A Dog’s Journey), and Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project). Directed by Craig Zobel (Compliance, Z for Zachariah), the film drew controversy before its initial release date in September 2019. Now showing for the first time, the most talked about film of the year is one that no one’s actually seen.
