The Invisible Man
When Cecilia leaves her abusive boyfriend, Adrian, he takes his own life. Or so everyone thinks. Although he leaves his fortune to her in his will, he does so with the caveat that she must not show any signs of mental instability. But when a series of events leads her to believe that Adrian, a talented scientist, had found a way to make himself invisible and is not dead, her mental state comes into question. Cecilia must prove that Adrian is alive and continuing to torture her, or be locked up herself.
The film stars Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House), Aldis Hodge (Hidden Figures), and Storm Reid (Euphoria, A Wrinkle in Time). Writer/director Leigh Whannell (Insidious: Chapter 3, Upgrade) leads this domestic abuse take on the classic novel by H.G. Wells. What you can’t see can hurt you.
