The Greatest Showman
Inspired by the life and work of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original movie-musical about the birth of show business. It tells the story of a man who came from nothing to create a show that became the worldwide spectacle known as the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus that traveled the world from 1919-2017.
Hugh Jackman stars as the industrious P.T. Barnum. He is joined by a multifaceted, multitalented cast including Zendaya, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, and Rebecca Ferguson (Life, The Girl on the Train). Director Michael Gracey (Ned Kelly) breathes life into the story that created a legend. In his worldwide sensation of “The Greatest Show on Earth,” Barnum created a world where every one of us is special, and no one is like anyone else. The film is released on the heels of the historic closing of the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus after a staggering 146 years of touring.
