The Goldfinch

Theo Decker’s life is stolen when his mother is killed in a terrorist attack. But the whereabouts of a priceless work of art indicate that even more went missing that day.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same title by Donna Tartt (which spend 30 weeks on the NY Times Best Seller List), the film stars Nicole Kidman, Finn Wolfhard, and Ansel Elgor. The painting featured in the novel and the film, The Goldfinch, is work by Carel Fabritius from 1654. Director John Crowly (Brooklyn) brings us another film with a NYC back drop.
