When a wealthy yacht owner ends up with amnesia after he is accidentally thrown overboard, a mistreated employee takes her revenge by convincing him that they are married. She takes him home to her three children and working-class life, convincing the rich man that he actually works in construction. Lessons are learned by both as they come to find that money and happiness do not always go hand in hand.

The film is a remake of the 1987 movie of the same title starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The story reverses the gender roles, making the actor Eugenio Derbez (How to be a Latin Lover) the rich man with Anna Faris (The House Bunny) as his disgruntled employee. Further, the plot of the original film was influenced by Italian movie, Swept Away (1974) – making it a story that truly stands the test of time!
